Spiral grooved thrust bearings (SGB) named 'Ribbon type bearing'.
It is lubricated by a forced injection of liquid in order to
reduce a bearing starting torque.
Thus, compared with a conventional hydrodynamic SGB,
the Ribbon type bearing achieves higher load capacity
and lower bearing loss by the assistance of hydrostatic action.
